Dr. Carl E. Livingston is originally from Detroit Michigan where he was born and educated. He was raised by a single parent along with 8 siblings, all of whom completed High School and some whom completed college and graduate school. Dr. Livingston has been married for 22 years to the former Yolanda Olive. They have a daughter named Jireh who is 9 years old. Dr. Livingston is the Pastor/Teacher of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville, TN for the past 14 years.
Dr. Livingston is considered the premier pastor/preacher by his peers. His congregation was recognized as the Best Baptist Church in Clarksville two years in a row by the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce. In addition to his pastoral duties, Dr. Livingston is a professor at the Hopkinsville College of the Bible in Hopkinsville, KY where he teaches Homiletics and Biblical Studies. He was elected and serves as the president for the Pastors’ & Ministers’ Conference for the Cumberland River District since 2014. Moreover, Dr. Livingston has over 20 years of service in the United States Armed Services. He is presently the Brigade Chaplain for the 63rd Troop Command of Belmont Michigan in the Michigan Army National Guard. He was recently career board selected for the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and expects to pin some time in 2017.
Dr. Livingston is a graduate of William Tyndale College of Farmington Hills, Michigan where he earned his Associate of Liberal Arts and his Bachelor of Social Science degree. He is also a graduate of Faith Evangelical Seminary of Tacoma Washington, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree and where he is presently enrolled in their Doctoral Program with an emphasis on Strategic Leadership. Dr. Livingston has also completed four other degree programs through residence and distance learning to include a Master of Biblical Studies Degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree. Furthermore, he has completed several counseling and professional certifications programs.
Dr. Livingston is a recipient of several awards and recognitions to include: The David Fairless Public Speaking Award, Strauss Expository Preaching Award, Tyndale English Grammar Award, Nashville Trailblazer Award, Magnificent Man Award, 13 Full Marathon Completion Medals (26.2 miles each), two combat tours to Operation Desert Shield/Storm, and Operation New Dawn. Dr. Livingston is the author of Man College 101 a mentoring program for young men designed to teach them responsibility, accountability, and dependability. His rule for living is to never face the day without facing God first.
